“Zanzibar” is a series of documentary photographs captured during my trip to the island in December 2020. At that time, global travel restrictions were in place to minimize the spread of COVID-19, making it challenging to cross borders. After a prolonged period of isolation at home, I sought a destination where entry was unrestricted, and I chose to travel to Zanzibar. Through these photographs, I documented life on this stunning island, as part of the research and exam for course of documentary photography.
